Integrating Physical to Digital
Patch Plants is a London-based plant centre with the mission to bring joy to people with plants through education. In this case study, I bridge the gap between Patch and their target market by integrating their values and marketing strategy to educate users. My Story
Growing up in ensembles opened my eyes to the power of collaboration (exactly like cross-functional teams) and the impact of one - the significance of each individual. From nature to nurture to my previous roles in Public Relations, Marketing, and Sales — I transitioned into Product Design with the ultimate goal to help other people through strategy and innovation.
As a Product Designer, I believe in strategy and fluidity. To deliver the best for humanity with business in mind, I move with intention — design to maximize user benefit to build bridges and establish reliability. The comprehensive processes I follow ensure every decision made is user-centric based on hard data. I seek for clarity with the ultimate goal of solving real pain points people experience.
Off the bat, I include a diverse group of individuals from the beginning of a project to ensure accessibility is not an afterthought. With tools such as Figma, Notion, Miro, and Maze, bringing concepts to life and validating decisions has never been more accessible.
The PR-person in me naturally connects the dots through branding and storytelling. In my experience pitching, I've learned that clean, short, and concise is the most efficient way to communicate as information is easy to digest and keeps everyone in sync. Working in the PR industry also taught me how to respond resourcefully to time sensitive matters, how cues can translate differently across cultures, and how to understand problems from different perspectives.
As a creative problem solver, I absolutely love to experiment and try different methods of doing things. My curiosity constantly drives me to dig deeper to understand specificities. Trial-and-error is an essential process in cross-sectoral innovation as there's so much to learn from failure. Exploring different ecosystems to ask questions to define purposes, functionalities, and what could come out of forging systems together are wonders I wish to learn. Through exploration we could solve existing and potential frustrations, increase business value, and most importantly simplify complexities to create healthier, more seamless experiences for everyone.
