For this solution, I focused on the second step in the subscriptions management user flow.
Implementing Tools
In the second step, I integrated relevant functions that could serve purpose:
- Search bar
- The search bar allows users to effortlessly find the channels that they're looking for.
- Filters
- The filters gives users the ability to sort and help find channels in groups.
- On the business side, this allows YouTube to gather insights of user engagement.
- Multiple Selection
- Along with filters, users are able to select multiple channels at once and switch between categories and filter settings.
These features together can serve as a solution to make managing subscriptions feel less like a hassle. Giving users the ability to have control may encourage engagement and plant the seed of ownership of their account.
