I usually subscribe to a channels if it’s a friend of mine trying to get subscribers

No negative feelings come to mind. Easy to manage because of how many people I’m subscribed to

so I see my favourite creator's videos when they come out as well as to show support

some channels post multiple series/uploads but I would only be interesting in specific content

It makes me more careful of who I subscribe to, I unsubscribe from people a lot if they are cluttering my subscriptions, even if I watch them sometimes. I wouldnt subscribe to a youtuber if I just listened to a weekly podcast they did for example.

The Home Screen is more likely to recommend me videos that I don’t subscribe to, but watch anyway, so I don’t bother subscribing

I like to be notified of new content from my subscribed list instead of trawling YouTube. I hope it also helps generate better content for me from their algorithms on viewed content

If I had more subscriptions then there's more videos to go through and I might miss something I'd been looking for

I subscribe to channels that either offer valuable information or whose content I find inspirational. Some channels / creators have a knack for igniting a fire within the hearts of their viewers and that to me is sometimes the distinguishing factor between whether I subscribe to them or not.

I can't always remember off the top of my head who I've subscribed to... so I'm not always certain if I'm keeping up with the channels I need / want to or not...

Since it would require me to make actual time to determine whether I am in fact keeping up with all those I subscribe to or not, I typically don't. There's just not enough time in the day.

Simply not knowing for sure if I'm missing out on valuable information from those I subscribe to.
